In a unexpected collaboration that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the authorized release, "A strange meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of forbidden rituals and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret group.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Transformations

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Extra Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Third Free Story Update

This patch also adds the game's latest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
