Defiant Celtic's manager insists he is not worried about the sack yet the Parkhead faithful unleash wrath after defeat.
The under-pressure manager stated he did not fear the sack, maintaining, “I believe we are extremely close to changing our fortunes,” even after edging perilously close to being fired with a heavy setback against the Ibrox side.
Another Collapse Results in Derby Defeat
The Hoops had led Rangers at the interval but a collapse after the break enabled the Gers to pull level on points with the current league title holders. Nancy, who was appointed in December, has now presided over six setbacks in eight games.
“We are together with the board,” stated Nancy.
Pressed on whether he was concerned, Nancy replied: “I don’t think about it. I concentrate on working out methods to help my team to be good on the fine details.

“The outcomes [that leads to pressure]. That is the situation for the moment. But by saying that’s how it is, that is not a sign that I am a defeatist guy. Not at all. My point is we are on the cusp, imminently close to turn things around.”
Focus on the Details
The coach remains focused on the fact his team play well for a half at a time. For instance, if not for wastefulness in front of goal they could have been better than 1-0 up. “I saw enough aside from the fact that we missed more goals,” he said. “I know that we lost, but I have also to be balanced.
“The performance we had at certain moments was of top quality. This is the reality. I could not speak so positively if it was untrue. But that’s why, in terms of results, I noted it's a repeating pattern. For that reason I believe we are really close to things turning around. But for the moment: small things.”
“I saw a lot of encouraging signs that we did, as was the case today. But now comes down to consistency. My outlook would not be if it was not the case. That’s why I am convinced we will manage to get back on track.”
The Rangers Boss Stance
The victorious boss was cautious about a serious challenge despite what seemed like a landmark win. “One match at a time, so we can really build up a challenge,” he said. “The faith in the team is excellent.”
