Iranian Forces State Attack on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Manama, as Iran launched operations across the region in retaliation for a significant and ongoing attack against it by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity in the area of the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is unclear and the United States has not commented.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was striking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on Iran launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That US-Israeli operation - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck areas associated with the the regime, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to revolt against the regime.

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military said it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the projectiles with great effectiveness and shot down a number of missiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted debris landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some material damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
